About P. H. Guider

Phoebe H. Guider is an artist and writer living in Richmond, VA. The child of two artists, Phoebe spent her childhood learning about all the different art forms she could. She made clay skulls and built a pyramid with her father, and learned almost every fiber art possible from her mother. It was the latter that developed into a full-blown passion, calling, and career. Phoebe was the fabric buyer for local business Quilting Adventures for over a decade and in that time experienced many aspects of both business and fiber, including quilting, needlework, pattern design, social media, marketing, and general business management.

Around the time of both the birth of her first child and her 30th birthday, Phoebe stepped away from the fiber world, finally following the call of her heart to drawing and watercolor work. Currently, this is her focus.

Phoebe started writing in her mid-twenties after someone recommended local writing classes to her wife. This brought her to the intersection of art and writing, texture and word, story and storytelling. While writing mostly non-fiction, Phoebe is happy to try any form, all while discovering where this wonderful path will take her.

Phoebe is a lifelong resident of Richmond, Virginia (although you can’t tell from her accent!) and lives there in a cozy house with her wife and child.
